The spring salmon season has produced some excellent catches so far, with specimen spring fish being caught on the Findhorn at 41lb, Tweed 34lb, Tay 35lb including other rivers producing some outstanding fish - see our largest salmon page.
This month sees more availability added to the FishPal system for salmon and trout fishing. With the weather looking to improve during the next week and prices starting from as little as £10 for salmon and £7 for trout, now is the time to get the rods out and go fishing.
Today we have over 185,000 rod/days to let around the world, with searchable lists constantly updated by the 756 fisheries that are presently on our system - find fishing.

Competitions
Alba Game Fishing are offering one lucky customer the chance to win a days guided trout fishing for two rods on the River Tweed.
A gourmet lunch will be served by the river, including wine and whisky paired to menu choice. All fishing equipment will be provided, if required - enter competition.
Hotel Awards
Congratulations to FishPal customers who are winners at the recent 2013 Scottish Hotel of the year awards. Fishing Hotel of the year for the fifth consecutive year is Perthshire based East Haugh Hotel. Scottish Borders small hotel winner is The Tontine Hotel at Peebles. North East winner is Deeside Hotel Tor na Coille.
Trout Fishing
The River Annan have launched their 2013 fly fishing days for trout, offering anglers the chance to fish the river with their scientists. For more information please contact Nick or Michael at the Annan Fishery Board.
June sees the start of ladies and junior days on Hoddom Beat with AAPGAI Master Paul Little, all monies from these days will be donated to the river to encourage juniors to try fishing. To book a place please contact 01576 470600.

Ladies Days
FishPal's marketing director Anne Woodcock in conjunction with the Deveron, Bogie & Isla Rivers Charitable Trust will be holding a ladies day to encourage women to try salmon fishing on Saturday 1st June.
The event will be held on the Mountblairy beat where Clementina Morison landed her magnificent 61lb record breaking salmon.

River Tay - best start for many years
2013 has seen outstanding catches on the river with April catches up a staggering 126% on last year. The catch for the season so far has increased by 73% says FishTay reporter Bob White - latest report.
The river offers excellent fishing opportunities for all abilities and budgets. With water levels and temperatures rising, this will hopefully encourage more salmon to run, offering anglers excellent sport across the river. Don't be daunted by the size of the river, pools can be covered from either bank or boat using the latest fly lines and rods.

We are delighted to announce the sale of six, four rod days on the famous Burnbane beat on the middle Tay courtesy of Duncan Glass Esq to support the work of the Tay Ghillies Association charity. The beat is over 1 mile long is famous as the beat where Miss Georgina Ballantyne caught the British record salmon- read more.

Tweed Largest Salmon Competition
Congratulations to Ian Bailey who has caught the largest spring fish on Tweed so far this year at 34lb on the famous Junction beat and wins the Borders Gun Room FishTweed Fish of the month - read more.
