August started rather slowly with a blank on the 1st., 5 on the 2nd. & 6 on the 3rd. Then we had yet another flood & no fishing on the 4th. & 5th. due to coloured water.Nine anglers caught their First Ever Salmon including 16 yr. old Dan Kadlubowski (UK) & James O'Keeffe (Ireland) who both had fish of 13lb. Another 16 yr. old - Jack Thomas (Wales) had his First Three Salmon all to 9.5lb. all in one morning.
Total Catch for One Day Record for 2012 shattered..........On Monday, August 6, the river was starting to fine down though conditions were far from ideal as the water was still quite coloured.Notwithstanding the conditions, the record catch for one day for the 2012 season was shattered yesterday with 18 fish to 13.9lb. being caught. The previous Best Day was 11 fish on June 6 & July 18.One rod caught (& released) 6 fish to 12lb. on an upper beat, & another 2 rods also recorded 6 fish to 12.9m on a lower beat.
