FISHING REPORTS - May 18, 2016

LAKES

Lots of fishing derbies happening this long-weekend and it's a great weekend to get out! Rainbow, cutthroat, and char fishing has been reported as good. Most people trolling shallow as the water is still very cold. Rainbow Alley is fishing. Use minnow patterns, muddlers, leeches, and a floating line with a fairly long leader to fish just under the surface (or a slow sinking line). If nothing is happening in the Rainbow Alley, trolling Nilkitwa Lake can be very productive. Use a weighted orange blossom “fly” for great results. FISHING REPORTS - May 25, 2016

LAKES

Lots of good reports after the long-weekend. Lakes were producing some great rainbow and char! Mostly the rainbow were a couple pounds and the char were 3-6lbs but a huge 19.5lb was caught too! Fishing in Rainbow Alley has been hot! Salmon fry are hatching and the early heat has yellow stoneflies hatching already and the trout are loving the smorgasbord. Burbot, rainbow, and char all being caught throughout Babine Lake. Great time to get out!
